Randall West as Barack Obama
|
Randall West is the premier, 100%-authentic, Barack Obama look-alike and impersonator.
Specializing in television commercials, films, corporate appearances and special
events, West's uncanny resemblance to the President has thrust him into a
brand new career in the spotlight.
After being on the Dean’s List and graduating from Rutgers with a degree in economics,
Randall worked for Lockheed-Martin and Ford Motor Company in various management
and marketing positions. Randall then became a Ford dealer and owned and managed
a dealership in New Jersey before selling it in 2007. In 2008, West accepted a temporary
assignment in Champaign, Illinois as general manager of a dealership there.
People noticed his resemblance to the junior Senator from Illinois in his home in
New Jersey. It became all the more apparent once he was in Obama's home state. West
tested the waters by attending the August rally in Springfield, IL, in which Barack
Obama announced Senator Joe Biden as his running mate. The crowd went wild for West,
who had done nothing more to make himself look like Barack Obama than put on a business
suit. He posed for over 300 photos in 7 hours and was interviewed by press from
Germany and Japan. West knew he had a hit on his hands. To help him break into the
business, West contacted Brent Mendenhall, a George W. Bush impersonator who knew
that change was in the air. Desiring to mentor the next generation of Presidential
impersonators, Mendenhall readily shared his knowledge, expertise and connections
in the corporate speakers business and look-alike industry.
He serves as Randall’s booking assistant and performance
advisor.
West has since been able to turn his amazing resemblance, natural people skills
and gift for performing into a new career impersonating Obama. Having been in the
corporate and business world for over 20 years and having spoken to these types
of audiences makes him a natural to keynote your next big meeting.
West has made numerous appearances as Barack Obama on the East Coast and at the 2009 Inauguration, where he lives
in Moorestown, NJ, with his wife and three children. An Obama fan himself, he feels
the election on November 4 will change his life to being the internationally recognized
"First Impersonator" of the United States.
